Susan Kay Friedman, age 64, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at her home. Born in Las Vegas on November 13, 1961 to Mickey and Sharon Austin, she lived in Las Vegas her whole life.
She worked as a housekeeper at Imperial Palace and then New York-New York from its opening, advancing to Assistant Executive Housekeeper. Always having a positive and happy outlook, she enjoyed roller skating, traveling, spending time with her family and meditation.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mickey and Sharon Austin; her husband, Paul Friedman; and brother, David Austin. Survivors include her children, Scott, Michelle, David, Daniel (Monique) and Chris (Kayla) Friedman; sister, Debra Guess; niece and nephew, Khara Sheppmann and Michael Guess; and grandchildren, Mikayla and Izabella Eberhardt and Madison, Lennox, Emma and Chloe Friedman.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 3-5pm with a service beginning at 5pm, all at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas.
