Carrie Ann Luke was born August 22, 1967, in Los Angeles, California to parents Terry Shepherd and Susana Gregg Yoakum. Her brother Todd called her Tannie and the name stuck. Tannie was a vibrant woman who loved whoever she surrounded herself with and what she did passionately. She always looked stunning and knew how to light up a room. Her pride and joy was her children and grandchildren who she loved unconditionally.
When Tannie was younger she moved from California to the small town of Circleville, Utah. She was a beautiful cheerleader that bragged about scaring off boys that tried to mess with her brother. Always a spitfire. At a young age Tannie met her first husband who she later had four kids with before a divorce that ultimately led her to move to Las Vegas. She put her heart into Real Estate, which was a career that she did well at and was proud of. Tannie sold, designed and built some of the most beautiful homes in Las Vegas.
One of Tannie's favorite things was spending time with her loved ones whether it be during a barbeque at which she cooked the most delicious food or in Tahoe with her fiance Jim and her beloved pets Harley, China, and Poker. Tannie was an amazing host that always cared about entertaining her guests.
Tannie leaves behind a family that will miss the lipstick stains from her kisses and the driving force that pushed us all to be the best version of ourselves. We will miss her forever and are heartbroken to see her go.
