

Terry Gialketsis, of Las Vegas, passed away quietly Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013. Born Terry Lee Jeffers, she was a fourth-generation Nevadan. She is survived by her husband, William "Babe" Gialketsis; and an extended loving family, including her first great-granddaughter who arrived this summer. Terry was born in Reno, and later moved to Las Vegas. She graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1957. Terry was a Rhythmette. In 1958, she was Miss Nevada Universe. She was an extraordinary person whose character and personality strengthened the bond within her family, among her friends, and throughout the community. Celebration of her life will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Canyon Gate Country Club, 2001 Canyon Gate Drive, Las Vegas. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting remembrances be directed to the Ruthe Deskin Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund.
