I went to Saguaro high school('72-'76)  with Tom and as a member of the Pep Club, I had many instances to be involved with Tom and the football team. I also was a writer for the school paper and his face graced a few issues.
I am deeply saddened that one so full of life was taken so young and my sincere condolences go out to the family and anyone touched by this sweet man.

Lori, I am so sorry for your loss, I can't even imagine.  Tom spoke of you and the kids with justifiable pride.  He loved “ALL” of you, through good times and hard times.  He cared and loved all of you.  Our worlds are not all perfect, human failings, suffering, loss, Tom knew that and had compassion, forgiveness and love.  Isn't that what true love it is all about?  In a world full of the hard times we have all shared, Tom was a rock for us to rely on.

My life is better for having known Tom.  Tom had a gift for being the perfect host, whether he was talking sports, music, friends, life or life's problems or fixing some special for you.  Tom was always giving and made everything seem interesting.   Tom was always about family, friends and people and yet he stood his ground gracefully and with a full respect for others.
During one of my visits, Tom who know I was a long time fan of Chicago, got me tickets to their concert one night…the next morning after the concert Tom calls me up and said he was holding me a seat and it was about time I came down and had breakfast.  Breakfast (more like brunch) was the usual, fruit platter, Mojito and MONTECRISTO rum.  Tom started up a 3-way conversation with me and the guy reading the paper sitting next to me.  Next thing you know Tom offers the stranger a shot of MONTECRISTO, complements from me (actually Tom) of course…we shot the breeze about this and that, the news, all in all really pretty innocuous stuff.  Later after the guy left, Tom says, you know who that was don't you?  I said he looked very familiar.   That was the drummer for Chicago, Tristan Imboden, you said you practically set next to him last night…Really Tom, you couldn't have told me that earlier?  Were you afraid I'd have messed it up?  I guess I could have ?
Tom, neither, Vegas or the MGM will be as Grand without you. 
Tom, you are truly awesome and I know you are in an awesome place.  
I, indeed, we, have been blessed to have been spoiled by the very best. 
I owe you and the next MONTECRISTO is on me.
Friends for life, it wasn't long enough.  Until we meet again.

Tom always had a warm and welcoming presence, to say he will be missed is an extreme  understatement. One of my favorite memories of Tom is when he made dinner for his son, TK's twenty-first birthday. Tom made an incredible chicken fried steak, and TK's friends, and family were all over. We all had such an amazing time listening to stories about TK as a kid, and celebrating the future to come. Tom was so elated to have his son and everyone over. That is how I know and will always remember Tom, as a warm, loving, and high spirited man who could make anybody smile. I will always carry my memories of him in my heart.

Lori, What a nice tribute to Tom. Thank you for sharing his life with us. Such a great guy. So very loved; he will be forever missed.

Although I did not know Tom well, I was well aware of the great love he had for his family by the kind words his son, TK, would share with me. Tom welcomed me into his home for his TK's graduation from college. At that moment I instantly felt like part of the family. My deepest sympathy and love is with his family at this time.

Tom was one of the boy's, great friend, great athlete. Tom's Dad Dr.Keeley is still one of the greatest men I have ever met. God Bless you Tom, I will always remember you.

I knew Tom in highschool but I haven't seen him for a very long time. I did think of that sweet adorable boy on every November 3rd, his birthday.  for some reason I remembered it and would wonder what he was doing. You were loved, Tom, and will be missed! Oh Man,  We are so sad about Tom.  We were best buds for many years.  We shared so many life moments.  I can't even  put into words the feelings.  I'm gonna try to remember the good times and laughter, not the tears now.  Our families all mourn, but we support the light... don chiappetti

I knew Tom from 6th grade on. He has always had a very special place in my heart....I cheered him on through football, and crazy childhood "traumas"  I will always remember our burning memories shared with all of our buddies...love to you always....Valerie Richards

I was in Pep Club and cheered for Tom and his teammates many, many times. He's right next to me in the 1974 Sentinel yearbook. He will be missed tremendously by many.  My deepest sympathy to his family.

It has been many years since the last time that I had an opportunity to see Tom. I will always have hilarious memories of trip we took to Mexico with our High School Spanish class. Tom always had a welcome smile and the heartfelt skill of making all around him feel special.

Life is different now.  This big house is not filled with the smells of his cooking and the sound of the football game in the other room.  I will have many hard days, and these posts will keep me sane in the future.

Lori, so sorry to hear about Tom.  I hope in the following days to come you will be followed with peace and joy and all the happiness that he had given to you.  I love you, hugs!

I knew Tom many years ago when we were in high school.  He was a dear friend to many and a star football player.
