Valiant Xavier Jump Delgado

Valiant Xavier Jump (Sonny) Delgado, 77, of Las Vegas, NV, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 14, 2025. Born in San Fernando, Ca. He was the beloved son of Pedro Delgado and Virginia Jump.

Sonny is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Kelly Delgado; his daughters Sunny (Tim) Payton, Shayna (Jillian) Delgado, and Shelby (John) Taylor; and his cherished grandchildren Savannah, Zoey, Izabelle, Azelle, and Hazel. He was also a loving great-grandfather to Valiant and Abcdee.

Sonny was the second of five siblings—Juhree, Kirk, Oliver, and Corliss.

For 50 years, Sonny dedicated his life to his career as an operating engineer. Leaving an indelible mark on his community through his commitment and hard work. He was known for living his life with the simple yet profound motto:

Ah, Life is good!

In retirement, he embraced a quieter pace, enjoying gardening, grilling, and crafting a variety of flavorful spices and sauces that he generously and proudly shared with friends and family.

Funeral services will be held on March 1, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 4500 W. Bonanza, Las Vegas, NV 89107. Viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the service at 10:00 a.m. and a luncheon at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at 2:00 p.m located at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.

Sonny’s legacy of kindness, hard work, and a joyful spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him.
