VANCE PLANCK June 18, 2011, our son, father, friend, and partner, Vance Planck, 40, of Las Vegas, was taken from this world to a better place. He was born Nov. 30, 1970, in Las Vegas to Joe and Launa Planck who adored their curly-haired bundle of joy. Vance grew up in Las Vegas with his two sisters, Josie and Joleen, and he thoroughly enjoyed his younger years and had nothing but fond memories for them. He loved sports and was on the Valley HS football team. His greatest pleasures came from being with his children, family, and the love of his life, Laurie Hargrave. One hardly saw him without his kids or his nieces and nephews. Vance and Laurie always had a house full of kids who just wanted to hang out with them Vance was the caregiver to his 93 year old grandmother who he loved with all his heart. He helped make her golden years more pleasurable. We will all miss him like crazy and remember the way he made us feel when he would just be with us, give us a smile, discuss issues, and love us. Vance's surviving children are, Brayden Spencer of Payson, Utah, and Tavin, Joey, and Shaina Planck of Las Vegas, who will all have a place in their heart for their loving dad. He also leaves behind his fiancee, Laurie Hargrave; parents, Joseph and Launa Planck; sisters, Josie Brill and Joleen Winfield; brothers-in-law, Charles Brill and Joe Winfield; grandmothers, Ruby Planck and Marjorie Vance; uncle, Tim; aunt, Terry Planck; aunts, Alice Pretasky, June Planck and Lynn; uncle, Tom Hunter. Nephews and nieces will particularly miss their "Uncle Vance." Zack Brill, Zoe Brill, Zander Brill, Julian Winfield, and Amber Martin won't be treated to nearly as many goodies from the mini mart. Best friends were Todd Garben and Gina Schuster, who had the ability to love unconditionally. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 23, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
