Vicenta Cabrera Teregeyo
February 3, 1937 – April 11, 2021
Vicenta C. Teregeyo, more lovingly known as “Mitchang” was born on February 03, 1937, and was called to her eternal resting place on April 11, 2021, surrounded by the love of her family; she was 84 years young.
Vicenta was a caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, auntie, sister, and friend. Known for her abundance of love and life, her gentle soul and kind heart will forever be ingrained in our memories. Her spirit will live on through the countless stories and beautiful memories she shared with those that love her. Her generosity and love for fellowship will be missed. She was known for her many savory dishes, sincere hospitality, and her passion for bingo and tongets. Her favorite pastime activities were watching soap operas, traveling, dancing, and tending to her garden. Nothing seemed to faze her throughout her lifetime, she was formidable, and her tenacity was transparent.
The funeral service will be held on April 21, 2021, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her remains will be brought to Saipan, where she will be laid to rest with her parents, siblings, and husband.

Vicenta Cabrera Teregeyo was born on February 3, 1937 in Saipan MP to Jose and Maria Cabrera. She was raised in Saipan and had seven brothers, Roberto, Gabriel, Vicente, Probio, Francisco, Emilio, and Francisco; and five sisters, Francisca, Celia, Ramona, Rosario, and Martha. As she was growing up, Vicenta loved to dance and had many friends. She was loyal and cherished her family.
On November 10, 1969, Vicenta exchanged wedding vows with George L. Teregeyo at Chalan Kanoa Church in Saipan. She was devoted to her husband and the family they built together. She was blessed with four sons, Melvin, Steven, George Jr., and Raymond; and one daughter, Charlene. She was later blessed with 18 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. Vicenta took motherhood in her stride, and was a pillar of their family.
For work, Vicenta worked in the communications industry as a telephone operator before retiring in 1992. Whenever she wasn’t working, she liked playing Bingo and gardening. She also loved watching Wheel of Fortune and The Young and the Restless on TV. Vicenta’s faith was important to her, and she was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church. After retiring, Vicenta found new pleasure in hosting the yearly San Pedro Fiesta.
Vicenta passed away on April 11, 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada after fighting a brave battle against cancer. She is survived by her children, Melvin Joseph Cabrera, Steven Anthony Teregeyo, Charlene Cabrera Teregeyo, George C. Teregeyo Jr., and Raymond C. Teregeyo; her grandchildren, Cherese, Christina, Christopher, Cherina, Melvin Jr., Juliette, Lorena, Vickilynn, Remo, Mark, Joshua, Brennica, Ethan, Naomi, Frankie, Wesley, Raymond Jr., and Marianna; her great-grandchildren; and her brother, Francisco M. Cabrera. Services were held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Simply stated, Vicenta was an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Vicenta leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Vicenta Cabrera Teregeyo.
