

Vickie Denise Hooker, also known as Vickie Denise Stokes, 61, of Henderson Nevada, passed away on February 26, 2024. She was born on November 25, 1954, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Ft Worth, Texas. Her favorite color was purple, and she dressed clothes or jewelry in it. Vickie graduated from Huntington Park High School in 1972 and embarked on her journey as a teacher's aide. In her leisure, she found solace in reading and indulged in her love for Western and horror movies.
A devoted wife, sister, daughter, mother, and grandmother, Vickie held her family dear to her heart. She ensured she made time for each member, showering them with love, sharing moments, or simply offering a warm smile. She cherished countless memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each uniquely and special. Her children, Toya, Charles, and Devin Hooker, were not only her offspring but also her confidants and support. Vickie cared for her mother, Willene Delores Harper, wholeheartedly. She is also survived by her sisters Debbie and Sonya; Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren : Reynaldo, Cassidy, Mirena, Camryn , Charles III, Emonny, Devin II, Cheyane, Devion, Davon, Destainee, Vickie II, Ronnie, Jazmin, Katelen, Deviona, Charlise, Denyse, Daijah, Arianna, Avianna, Sylvester, Avery, Jala, Jazlyn, Devin III, Nasya, and Shakur
Vickie's strength persevered till the end, and she departed as she lived—resilient and unwavering. Reunited with her beloved husband, Charles Ray Hooker, she found eternal solace. Her final wish encapsulated her faith and longing for a reunion with her husband: "My last breath on earth may be my first in heaven, and the first words I hear are, 'Hello baby, welcome home.'"
A visitation for Vickie will be held Friday, March 8, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM.
