Vic was proud to serve his country in the United States Air Force for twenty years. After retiring from the military, he worked for Nevada Power, and he continued his commitment to service by working for the Clark County School District, where his reliability, dry wit, and no‑nonsense attitude were well known and well loved.
He was a 33rd-degree Prince Hall Mason, a Shriner, and a proud member of the Night’s of Columbus.
Vic was the kind of person who always showed up when needed and listened deeply. He could turn a simple story into an epic tale, and he had a knack for offering exactly the right comment at exactly the right moment—sometimes wise, sometimes hilarious, and often both.
Vic is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia Edwards; his son, Christopher Edwards; and his granddaughter, Anya Edwards, who brought him endless joy. He is also survived by his daughter‑in‑law, Jennifer Rohn, whom he happily claimed as one of “his own,” and by his brothers, Charles Edwards and Gary Edwards, with whom he shared a lifetime of brotherly loyalty and love. He is also survived by a gaggle of nieces and nephews in the United States and Great Britain, whom he was extremely proud of. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret, father Vernon, and brother Steve, who surely will greet him with open arms.
Vic’s family extends their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and doctors at Henderson Hospital for their generosity, kindness, and compassionate care in his final days.
Vic’s life was defined by the people he loved, the service he gave, and the laughter he shared. His stories, his example, and his irreverent sense of humor will live on in all who knew him.
