In Loving Memory of Victoriano "Bob" Laurente who passed away peacefully on February 8, 2019 at Spring Valley Hospital, Las Vegas NV. He was born on April 20, 1960 to Romeo Laurente (Judge) and Avelina Laurente (Teacher). He studied High School at Pope John XXIII Seminary in Mabolo, Cebu and finished his BA Studies at University of San Carlos, Cebu Philippines.

His siblings were Susan Demeterio, Gloria Jane Matiga, Fe Lourdes Bustmante and Romeo Laurente Jr. He grew up in the Philippines and migrated to the United States in 1985 and was a License Vocational Nurse by profession. In his spare time, he would be invited to events and parties where he would sing and perform. He was tagged as the Lou Rawls due to his deep baritone voice and singing prowess.

He has a daughter Tesha Laurel and son Romeo Benjamin Laurente. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Laurente . Bob as he is known to his family, friends and relatives was a kind and generous man. He always made sure that he brings pasalubong, goodies be it big or small when he goes to Cebu. I do remember when we had a feeding program for the less fortunate children in Leyte.

He did tell me that should God allow me to have a second chance and I beat Cancer, I would go back to the Philippines and live simply and help the poor. Perhaps God has a different plan as he took you back. He is welcoming you to his kingdom, free of pain and sufferings.

Ga who I fondly call even my friends who knows him call him as such, forever you will be in our heart. As I promised in your death bed to your last breath I will make sure that your children are taken care of. The only man I loved and the only one I ever had I'm setting you free.

Sing out loud with the throng of Angels, embrace Papa Romeo, Mama Beling, Daddy, Mommy and Ate Grace and all who had touched us. Love you Ga and watch over us. Until we meet again.

I met Bob and Ellen in Los Angeles Cavinti Fiesta in August 18, 2014. I thanked Steve Villanueva for introducing me to his friends. I believe God has a purpose in connecting people. I spent time with Ellen in August 2016 and went to Las Vegas to see Bob and Rob.
Bob had a great singing voice and we planned to sing at the 2017 Cavinti Fiesta in Toronto and surprise everyone, but Bob and Ellen could not come to Toronto, however they made it to the 2018 Cavinti Fiesta in 2018. Finally, Bob and I surprised everyone in singing Endless Love on stage. Thank you Ellen for the Video, it was truly a great memory. The song reflects the true love between Bob and Ellen. Bob you will be greatly missed. Your kindness and loving heart touched everyone you met.
Say hello to Jesus for us and enjoy your singing concert in Heaven.
R.I.P Bob,

I know Bob since 2006. We were raised together as master Masons then. Since then our friendship grew. We had times where I played airsoft with His son Rob, 12YO then. Now, Rob is my Co-worker in an ER in Las Vegas. Bob has beautiful plans to prosper more his family. He is a great father to Rob/Romeo and a very good husband to sister Ellen.

He will surely be missed. So mote it be brother Bob. See you in the next Life when the Lord comes.

Rest In Peace in Jesus’ name, our Lord and Son of the Living God.

I only met Bob or Ga as we fondly call him the last time our HS classmates had a reunion in Vegas. We stayed in their lovely home. Ga was such a sweet guy and i could see the love he has for Ellen, our classmate and his wife.
Bob/Ga will be so missed by all of us.
