Vincent R. Frey

Vincent Frey, a lifelong proud Nevadan died suddenly from a brief illness on January 3, 2014. Vincent was born and raised in Las Vegas and graduated from Valley View High School. He studied at NYU in New York before returning home to the city he loved so much. Vincent was a world traveler, lifelong seeking of all the good things in life, great food, art, music , meeting people and great friends, a politico and humanitarian. He was a longtime friend of Bill W. In his many works in politics he was a member of the Victory Fund, Human Right Campaign as a Federal Club Member, Democratic Party currently serving on the Central Committee. Vincent was the former Director of the Gay and Lesbian Center Las Vegas, Vice President, Southwest Political Consultants. He held staff positions in Herrera for Congress, Clinton for President, and Gore for President and President Obama. He worked for Senator Reid, Shelley Berkley and many more. Currently Vincent was working with Erin Bilbray for Congress. Vincent worked on numerous local and state races. He was a tireless advocate for equality for all in marriage both in Nevada and in the United States of America. Vincent was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Stevens. Vincent is survived by his Partner, Chris Beeson; Mother Ruth Coker; Father Leo Frey all of Las Vegas and his brother, Tony Freese of Atlanta. Vincent loved and adored his 14 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2014 from 11:00 am – 11:45 am with services following at 12 pm at Palm Eastern Mortuary (7600 S. Eastern Avenue Las Vegas, NV 89123).
