Viphar I just wanted to wish you Christmas blessings,  I love & miss you so much. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you & how much you meant to me. Just wanted you to know I carry you in my heart ❤ always ♥ ❤ 💙 💓 💕 

From the moment I began dating Viphar's younger sister, she made me feel like I was part of her family.  She was extremely kind, generous, and helpful as I travelled back and forth between Canada and Las Vegas to spend time with her sister.   

Suchada and I were blessed to have been able to go on vacations with Viphar and Glenn and fulfill some of our bucket list dreams together.  Viphar was always the first to give to those that reached out to her for help, without passing judgement on them.  She saw the positive in people and the positive in situations that most would see only the negative.  This was a true natural gift of hers and something I remind myself of to try to be more like her.  

My wife and Viphar had a truly special bond that cannot be replaced.  But I know that she is smiling down on Suchada and the rest of her family and will always be in our hearts and souls.  


Viphar was an absolute gem. I will always remember her witty sense of humor and her laugh. Viphar was a very positive person and fun to be around. She also was a good listener and was genuinely interested in others. I'm truly saddened with the loss and she will be missed. Glenn, Michael, and family are in my prayers during this difficult time. 

Dear Mom

I can’t choose one but some of my favorite memories were the simple ones. Dinners throughout the valley, long walks with Mousse, quick conversations in your office, and short txts that read nothing more than “I love you.” Typing this while rummaging in memories is the hardest thing to do. I’ve put it off for weeks because while I source each moment, I relive a bit of pain. Whether good moments or bad the realization that these are the last moments shakes me. I never admitted it but you are my strength, my drive, the center of my heart. Happy days were happier when I made you laugh, simple days were better when we shared a couch. You always had a way of bringing the best out of “living in the moment.” 

As I look back moment to moment, memory to memory, feeling each prick or cut a little deeper. I can’t help but have a little bit of a smile. “What a life” comes to mind. Watching you and Dad create a longer bucket-list or stay a longer trip somewhere around the globe always made me grin. You brought countless friends on dream vacations, collected thousands of flight hours headed in all directions, owned homes in 4 states and 2 countries, drove every car, experienced several honeymoon trips, and still donated time at that orphanage. I may be the definition of spoiled but you embodied the meaning of life. To Live. I’m not too sure how many bad days you had but they were few and far between. As I take steps in this new world without you I am comforted knowing your legacy lives in me. No matter the day or the place I am truly never alone and not one choice is made without thinking “what would mom want.” Though I may not see you I hear you and feel your presence. As I work down here I know your preparing a place up there. That thought puts my mind at ease. I don’t know when but one day I know I’ll see you again, smile and all. So until then Mom enjoy your rest, after 29 years with this kid lord knows you earned it.

When I think of you I think about how truly an angel you really are. It hurts knowing we can’t share dinner and desserts or share glasses of wine when the boys say no. I’ll miss our talks about who got the better deals between Ross and Marshall’s. I’ll miss walking at our own pace behind the boys when walking your grandbaby. I’ll even miss all the times you stopped us from eating to take a photo for your Facebook. From the moment I met you, you almost automatically included me in your family. You always thought of everyone else ... always. My heart hurts knowing your not with us today. But I just know that just as you overly prepared everything for your family, your preparing for us to be welcomed into heaven with you. I can’t thank you enough for the blessings you brought me. I’m so lucky to of have your son in my life. You raised the most amazing man I’ve ever met. To being thoughtful, kind, patient, and loving I believe he learned that from you. Good job O! I’ll always remember when you would say, “Just be good person and do good things.” As simple as that phrase was is as simple as it needs to be. I’ll do my best to carry your legacy on. To take the photos, to make dinner plans, to coupon shop, to try to plan family vacations without any notice, to make sure the dishes were washed twice, to cleaning our home so there’s not one spec of dust, to overly buying groceries (& to always buy cinnamons), to making sure the family is safe, healthy and happy. You were more then just a sweet, kind, silly, fun, wonderful, loving woman. You are and will be forever my mother. 

We only meet Vipar once at your home in Las Vegas and she was extremely kind and warm.   She must a have been a wonderful mother since Michael turned out so nice.   

There never seem to be the right words to use.   We just hope that your pain and sorrow will be eased by time and wonderful memories.

May your soul Rest In Peace. We were so privileged to have known Viphar. She was a wonderful person always full of love and acceptance. She always made us feel like we were part of her extended family. She will be terribly missed but never forgotten and will always be remembered and in our hearts. 

I could not have asked for a better aunt than Auntie Oh. The amount of love and care I received  anytime I would visit made me feel so heart warmed. I will treasure all the memories I have of her and she will be missed dearly.

I will always remember how much of a joy it was to be around her. Great smile and so sweet. Also, her jerky and curry were one of kind, just like her. 

Aunt Viphar was one in million.  All who knew her, loved her and she knew no stranger.  She was one of the most loving, caring, genuine, generous people we have ever met and are extremely blessed to have called her family.  She had an amazing sense of humor and always loved make others laugh.  Aunt Viphar has been a part of so many of our precious memories and she will be greatly missed.  It is so very hard to fathom life without her wonderful personality that was full of life.  Heaven gained an extra special angel with her.  Uncle Glenn, Michael and family – you have our constant love and support.  

If a ray of sunshine could be embodied in human form it would be Viphar. Being a longtime friend of Michael, I have had the privilege of knowing his beautiful family and even had the opportunity of working in the family business. Every single time she would walk in the room it was always like someone had flipped the switch. Whether it was through her infallible positivity or her motherly spirit ensuring we were all taken care of, her presence was always a godsend.

Recent events have been tragic, but they pale in comparison to the immense blessing of Viphar sharing her time, love, and spirit with us here on Earth. I mourn deeply for Michael, Glenn and the entire family. But more importantly I am eternally grateful to have spent time with such a wonderful human being. 

Viphar was such a wonderful person! She had a way of making everyone feel special. 
She was such a joy to be around and was loved by all. I thought the world of her and loved her like a sister.  She will truly be missed by all.  Rest In Peace sweet Viphar.

Auntie and the family took me to my first real NFL game sometime in 2018 in San Diego against the Chargers vs Colts. Even though it was blazing hot that day, Auntie and I were partying away while the boys were watching their silly football game. 

We were stunned to hear of the sudden passing of Viphar.  She was a caring person and one of the most kind and understanding people we have ever known.  

Occasionally we meet a special person who it is our privilege to call a friend.  We were privileged to have had the opportunity know her as a friend.

We have to remember all the wonderful times we had and think just how lucky and privileged we were to know her. She will always be missed, never forgotten.

Our love and thoughts are with Viphar and her family at this very difficult time.


It truly is so hard to find the right words, my auntie was gift to us. When I think of her I remember her infectious laugh and contagious smile. She was like a 2nd mom to my siblings and I. I am eternally grateful to have spent many holidays and summers with her (Glenn and michael). I’m wishing everyone the gift to hold timeless memories forever. One memory I think back to often is when we went to the chargers vs. colts game. We danced in the crowds and cheered at the top of our lungs. I have a video of her dancing that I love to watch. I will continue to celebrate auntie o and be more like her for the rest of my life— take my time growing through life, smile often, lend a hand, be good and do good. My heart hurts but I know she is still dancing in the next room. I love you, until we meet again my beautiful auntie. 

First off I want to thank you Mikal, Glenn, and Viphar for always treating me like family and welcoming me into your beautiful homes over the years. My heart aches for you guys and I am praying for your peace and healing through this. You guys have one of the strongest family bonds I’ve had the privilege of witnessing and I have nothing but good memories with you all. From annual EDC get-away staycations at your Aliante residence, to all you can eat thai food buffets at the family restaurant, I vividly remember the laughs I’ve had with Viphar and her playful/gentle nature. Even with her thick accent, her love came across so clearly and intentionally in every joke she told and every word she spoke. The kind spirit and contagious smile she had was enough to fill the room. It’s hard to believe she’s back with our Lord and Savior so soon, but as you said Mike, we are believers, meaning she will spend the rest of eternity in God’s kingdom. Heaven gained an angel and she is very much alive in you guys and the many hearts she’s touched. God bless Viphar, may she rest in paradise forever and may we celebrate her life with everyday we are blessed with on this Earth.

The way I new Viphar best was by being a wonderful mother to my brother. Michael and his mom truly have a special Connection. She made Michael the wonderful person and man he is and will always be. She taught him to be kind, patient, caring, and intelligent just like her self. Everything about Mrs. Viphar will live on in Michael. You can see her in his eyes, the way he speaks, and how Michael’s smile lights up a room.

Lots of my favorite memories were of me and Viphar talking at work.
We would always talk about family, our hopes and worries. 
She never judge me or other people, she would say nobody is perfect, we can only try and be better people. 
We always think guardian angles are watching us from heaven. I know that me and many other people had one here on earth. 
Making sure that we were all safe. I was lucky to have  Viphar as a friend. I will miss her always. 



If sunshine were a person, it was my “Ba Oh” (Auntie). She had a generous heart, carefree spirit, and contagious smile.

She was the best aunt, ever. She was like a second mom. She was there for every milestone. I always looked forward to spending time with her. If I think of my happiest memories, she’s a part of them.
 
A recent memory of her that stands out was in Thailand. I was lucky enough to travel with Oh, Glenn, Michael, and Jacky for a couple weeks. One day in Phuket, we had the pool and bar to ourselves all day. She wanted to make sure we were all having a good time, so she asked the bartender to get more alcohol out of storage (much more than we needed). Then she spent all day talking to the bartender about his life. She was genuinely curious and loved getting the chance to talk to Thai people. She even invited him out to dinner with us because she had made a friend. He didn’t come. But it shows that’s just who she was- kind, loving, and generous- and always wanted everyone to have a good time. 

I’m grateful for the time I had with her, and will miss her tremendously.  

It is very hard to think of the right words to say. Your life was taken too soon. I was not ready to say goodbye. Right now we are surrounded by the memories we have in our hearts. You will always be a positive light and happiness when I think of your memory. Your smile and laugh and love for your family is what I will remember the most. 

 You came into my life when I was a little girl. I danced at your wedding reception and met your son Michael.  The happiness and love you shared with your family was expressed to us all when we met you. Over the years I remember you loved to cook for us! You would bring suitcases of food with you from Las Vegas. You made us all smile. You loved us all and we loved you. I know you will be watching over us, especially Glenn and Michael. I will miss you my Aunt, my friend. When I see you again we will share some curry and egg rolls and have a good laugh.  Love you always. Erika 

I wish I could ask God to give Viphar back to us.  I wish I could tell him he made a mistake and somehow convince him we did not get enough time with her.  I would try as hard as I could to make him understand the pain we feel, now that she is gone.  I would tell him she was the strongest 5-foot girl I ever met.  I would want to remind him how much all of her friends were loved by her and remind him of the unbelievable way her smile could touch a person's soul - how caring and unselfish she was with friends and strangers and how her wittiness would delight those around her.  I would want to remind him that Viphar's strength and love was at the core of her relationship with Glen and Michael -- a special bond we all witnessed and cherished and how they still needed her in their lives.   How I knew her best was as a loving dedicated mother who used all of her abilities to show our son how much she loved and adored him!   I would explain that she was an angel to us all in a world of troubles, chaos, and pain. 

Despite the never-ending question of "why," I truly believe God would respond with one simple answer:   "I sent my angel, Viphar, to share all of the gifts I bestowed upon her and to bless those around her.  Now was the time for her to come home to receive her own blessings from me."  

As I told my son, Michael, the loss of our loved ones is not the end of a relationship with them but an opportunity to hold each other up as a family.  With God's help, it's important for him to keep his mother's memory in his heart as he moves forward throughout his life continuing to make her proud of him.

Our lives will truly never be the same without our beloved Aunt Viphar. We have had many great memories together at family gatherings. A few of my favorite memories include- 
Having my bridal shower at Viphar and Glenn’s house in Avon. Viphar and my Aunt Jayne spent a lot of time with decorations and getting everything ready for me. Viphar also bought a guest bedroom furniture set with rhinestones on it for when I came to stay at their house in Avon. Viphar knows how much I love bling! They called it Brittany’s room. 
Another favorite memory I will always have of Aunt Viphar, was her love for my dog Snoop. She loved to pick him up and let him lick her face. She would always talk real high pitch and get Snoop really excited, to the point where he would wiggle his butt. Viphar would say “shake your butt, shake your butt!!” She loved wiener dogs and would randomly text me pictures and videos of wiener dogs! 
I will always admired Viphar’s political confidence. She stood her ground and didn’t take crap from anyone! She would get fired up and send me the latest news about whatever was going on. Many mornings I would wake up with messages from her, and I would think “uh oh, Viphar’s been up late on Facebook sharing political drama!” 
Aunt Viphar was such a joy to be around. She was always so positive and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She was a great person and we will miss her very much. One last memory that will always leave an imprint on my mind is Aunt Viphar having the time of her life, dancing at my wedding last year. She was smiling and singing and dancing with my Grandma Birk. She was truly happy and that’s how I will always remember her.

It is truly so hard to put into words the magnitude of this loss,  not only, her presence  to our family but to the world. She had a spirit within her that made you strive to be a better person and the warmth in her smile that no one would ever forget. 
She introduced her Thai food to the Birk family (which is a picky bunch to  feed) and always knew a way to include every single person in the room. And promise you all came back for more!!! Thank you so much Viphar for bringing culture to our family in such a life changing way!! 
I honestly cannot imagine this life without her in it but I will strive to celebrate her every single day! If we could all live and give our hearts everyday even a fraction of how her heart was this world would truly be amazing

Viphar was truly special, and we all will miss her in our lives.  It was clear from your first interactions with her that she had a  generosity and warmth about her everywhere she went. It did not matter if she just met you or knew you for ages, she was welcoming and caring. All of our lives were better for having known her. She lived life well, and I am so glad she documented all of her trips and memories in beautiful photographs and shared her life so openly.  We will cherish our memories with her. I have been friends with Michael since middle school and his mother Viphar was always so warm and caring ever since I have met her. I will always remember walking to their house after school to hangout. Viphar showered us with love and hospitality despite us being a bunch of sweaty teenagers. She really was an aunt like figure for our group of friends.

One of my most recent memories of her is when she visited California with Glenn, Michael, Jacky, and friends for a Chargers vs. Colts Football game. I have lived in SoCal for quite some time, and it was wonderful being able to catch up with her. She was very interested hearing about my journey growing up since the days of my youth. At the football game she was cheering her heart out and was probably one of the loudest people in our section! We will miss her cheerful energy, joyful nature, and kind soul.

She was the best auntie in the world. As much as I wish for more time with her, all the memories of her will never fade. She was always there for any big milestone in our lives like graduations, welcoming our nephews and niece into the world and family holidays. She was my favorite person to see because she always knew how to make someone laugh or smile right away.

Better times,  Viphar would always order me pineapple rice, because she was so thoughtful & wonderful,  you couldn't ask for a better friend, missing her terribly 

So, so many reasons why we will miss Viphar...we loved spending time with her.  Vacations were so fun with Viphar-she would make us try new things to eat & always ordered extra food & drinks.  :) We were so looking forward to planning more trips with her & Glenn.

We especially enjoyed the last 2 years, when she & Glenn and even Michael , Jackie & Moose  would show up at their Avon home for a couple of weeks almost every month.   She of course would cook...curry for Duane, rice, egg rolls, spicy "stuff" and even made a huge meatloaf one time.  
 We loved her laugh, her gracious heart and her passion for politics.  

Viphar was a true joy to be around and will leave a huge void in so many hearts.

During the drive to Brownsburg for many holidays and gatherings in which Glenn and Viphar would attend, there was much anticipation as to what foods Viphar would make for the family. Viphar was a great cook and my family loved her cooking! We particularly loved the chicken curry, fried rice and egg rolls. Thanks to Viphar for introducing my family to Tai food!

Viphar was a light and a gift to our family. Her smile and generosity was always present, and she added  a special dimension to  a mid western  family that was appreciated and loved. I will miss her. All is Well.....
Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped into the next room. I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by my old familiar name. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference in your tone. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Viphar truly was a special human being. I’ll never forget the hospitality she showed us each and every time Julie and I visited. She loved to cook but more importantly she loved to feed. I always felt welcomed and never left hungry. Her laughter and smile would light up a room and I’ll never forget her ringtone for her sister Suchada. 

The sweetest memory of Viphar was before Michael was born she was preparing. She bought a brand new black Honda and the license plates said: MY MICHAEL. I'm not quite sure the spelling on a license plate but you clearly knew what it said. She was so excited for her baby boy. Her smile was contagious, and her sweet loving personality was a gift.

Viphar was truly a one-of-a-kind person. You don’t meet many people like her who can instantly light up a room and make you feel happy. I am so blessed to have known her for as long as I did and am grateful that she gets to live on in my memories and stories of her. My favorite memory with her was exploring Italy together - seeing the way she appreciated everything and every person she interacted with was inspiring and I hope to be more like her. I’ll never forget the impact she’s had on me - truly an angel on earth.

Viphar has a beautiful smile and always a very cheerful person.  She was such a nice person and married to my dear friend Glenn.  I am going to miss seeing her big smile when I go visit Glenn.  I'm glad that we had a chance a few years back to have dinner with Viphar, Glenn, my wife and I.  Also Michael and his girlfriend was at the dinner with us too. It was a joyous night during the holiday season like a week before Christmas.  I will miss her smile and friendship but her memories will stay with me forever. 

Viphar was a very good friend and former co-worker. We reconnect a few years back as my husband and her husband are both in the hvac Industry. She is a very dear friend and I was saddened when heard the news.  Viphar is such a kind friend that I'll dearly miss. 

I remember the first time I met O, Michael invited Bonnie and I over for dinner, we were in town visiting. It was maybe the late 1980s and he had a house on Hayward Street. When we entered the house the aroma from her cooking was out of this world. The ribs we had and the other side dishes and vegetables were unbelievable.
 
She was an outstanding cook, a very sweet and loving lady. Most of all a beautiful person inside and out and she will be greatly missed. Love Uncle Lenny, Aunt Bonnie and Santino 🙏❤️

My sister is a beautiful soul. There are no words that I can describe how much she will be missed by all of us. 


Viphar was a nice, kind, loving soul who touched the lives of many.

One memory I will always remember:

There was one night I slept over at Michael’s house. We fell asleep on the couch in the living room after a long night. We woke up in the morning with Viphar in the kitchen. She told us that she saw us sleeping in the living room and realized she had no food to make breakfast so she went to get us breakfast sandwiches from Burger King while we were sleeping. 

The kind gesture was small but spoke volumes about the kind of person she carried herself to be. She will be forever missed, but never forgotten. 

I'll never forget the amazing food mom made! Along with making sure we left the house with our pant's top button undone with all the food we had to eat.  Love you forever!
