

Vivian Gail Hemovich was born in Defiance, Pa., Oct. 6, 1920. She passed away Nov. 2, 2010, in Las Vegas. Vivian is survived by her husband, Thomas; daughters, Vivian, Marianne, Jackie, Christy and Laura; sons, Donald, Kenneth and David; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Hemovich in 2007. She moved from Defiance to Detroit in pursuit of employment. Vivian worked in various accounting jobs and ended up as a secretary in the scheduling department. She was president of the local union and president of the American Legion Post. Vivian retired after 32 years of loyal service to Chrysler Corporation, where upon she moved to Las Vegas and married the love of her life, Thomas. They spent 32 loyal and loving years together and enjoyed all that life of retirement offered, including travel and visiting with family and friends. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, with services following, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. A private interment service will take place at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
