Wallace “Wally” Brown, 72, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026. He was born on June 21,1953, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Melverton LaMar and Marie Briggs Brown, the oldest of their four children. Though born in Idaho, Wally spent the majority of his life as a proud resident of Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada, where he built lasting friendships and touched countless lives.
A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Wally served as a missionary in the Washington Seattle Mission from 1974-1976. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1982.
Wally started working at an early age and was a hard worker. He worked for a Food Distributor, Clark County School District, and later for his brother-in-law, Ken Gallacher.
More than anything, Wally loved people. He had an easy way of making friends wherever he went and found great joy in serving others. For many years, he was actively involved in the single adult program with his church; organizing memorable trips to California and Hawaii and creating opportunities for friendship and connection.
Family was especially important to Wally. He shared a close bond with each of his sisters; Marcia, Carol, and Nancy, and cherished a particularly special relationship with his mother. He was a devoted brother, son, cousin, uncle, and friend whose kindness left a lasting impression.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew.
He is survived by his sisters, Marcia (Kenneth) Gallacher, Carol (Douglas) Richins, and Nancy (Jay) Oliver; and his many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by his family, his many friends, and all whose lives were enriched by his love and friendliness.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at 2497 Cozy Hill Cir, Henderson, NV 89052, with a viewing from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
