Born on June 9, 1937, in Hamburg, Germany, Walter was the son of Walter and Ilsa Jager (née Fiehoffer). He received his education in Hamburg and embarked on a successful career in mechanical engineering. On September 10, 1977, Walter married his loving wife, Nita Bolognone, in Palos Verdes, California.
Walter began his professional journey as an Apprentice/Mechanical Engineer at Mercedes-Benz in Germany, where he developed his skills and passion for his field. Seeking new opportunities, he immigrated to the United States and joined Mercedes-Benz in New York. Throughout his career, Walter worked with prestigious companies such as Peugeot and Suzuki, holding various positions that led him to different states before settling in California. For an impressive 32 years, he served as a Regional/National Service Manager, showcasing his expertise and dedication.
Walter's warm and caring nature extended beyond his professional life. He shared a deep bond with his wife, Nita, and they enjoyed a loving partnership throughout the years. Additionally, he maintained close relationships with his nieces and nephews, who held a special place in his heart.
Walter Jager is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Anke Isberg. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nita Jager, daughter, son-in-law,grandsons and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Their lives have been enriched by his presence, and they will forever remember him with deep affection.
Memorials to honor Walter's life will be held in Columbus, Ohio, at a later date. As friends and family gather to celebrate his remarkable journey, they will find solace in the memories shared and the lasting impact he had on their lives.
