

Warren Eugene Casteel, 93, of Las Vegas, passed to his eternal home Thursday, May 19, 2011, with his beloved wife, Sari, at his side. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara; brother, Bryon; and son, Mark. Warren is survived by his wife, Sari; as well as a daughter, Lynn; a step-daughter, Sherrin; three grandchildren; two nieces; and four nephews. Warren was born Jan. 24, 1918, in Forrest City, Ark., and grew up in Colorado Springs, Colo. He worked his way through college graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in pharmacy. Upon graduation, Warren began his career of 45 years with Abbott Laboratories in New Jersey and then Colorado. Warren was a lieutenant in the U.S. Army Medical Group in World War ll. He resumed his career with Abbott Laboratories after the war. Warren loved photography and geology and pursued these interests all of his life. He met and had many friends who shared his interests and great sense of humor. In 1993, Warren and his wife, Sari, moved from Colorado to make Las Vegas home. Warren loved to travel, especially the National Parks, to eat at the Vegas buffets, work in his yard and he loved all of his pets, five of whom he is now with. Cremation has taken place and when his wife, Sari, passes on, their ashes and those of their "Fur Babies" will be joined and scattered in their special place. A "Celebration of Life" for Warren will be held at a later date. Anyone wishing to make a donation in Warren's memory please make to the NSPCA or Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah.
