Wilfredo “Willie” Javier Raymundo, 54, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on January, 13 2022. Willie was born on September 6, 1967 in the province of Taytay, Rizal, Philippines. He attended North Rockland High School, Thiells, NY, and graduated in1985, where he played football and was a part of the wrestling varsity team. After attending Rockland Community College, he moved to Las Vegas in 1989 and attended culinary classes at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. In 1991, he met his loving wife, Lailah Algodon Raymundo (Leyte, Philippines, of 27 years (together 31 years).
Willie had various jobs in Las Vegas such as security for several casinos. He later became a chef for various hotels/casinos such as Flamingo, Alexis Park, Silverton, and Fleur in Mandalay Bay. Willie enjoyed hunting and fishing back in Rockland County. He was also a passionate action figure collector, collecting wall art, and weight lifting at the gym. He loved spending time with his family such as dinner outings, movies, and walking his pitbulls Kylo and Keystone (RIP). He is survived by his wife, Lailah Algodon Raymundo; his son, Steven Patrick Raymundo (Las Vegas, Nevada); his mother, Florentina Javier Raymundo; his younger brother, Windie John Raymundo (NY). He was preceded in death by his father, Restituto Landicho Raymundo (2019). On Lailah’s side of the family, he is survived by his sister-in-law, Lorena Algodon and brother-in-laws, Reynaldo Algodon, Rizalino Algodon, and Juanito Algodon Junior.
