Sorry to hear of the passing of Pastor Schreiber as we called him when he served our church, St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Gay Hill near Brenham, Texas from 1967 to 1975.  I was the organist (age 13) at that time when he got there and am still the organist today. He served our congregation well.  During that time he served also the congregation of First Lutheran in Somerville, Texas. Even with two morning services, he taught the adult Sunday School class at our church between services. He came back to visit several times, one being on our church's 120th  anniversary in 2004. He was a special friend of my parents as they were the same age as he was and he was often a guest at our dinner table. He was our pastor who performed our wedding ceremony and we are still married.  We fondly remember the time he was our pastor and he was a good one.  We thank God for his life and service.
