William “Bill” Silberkleit, 92, a retired Air Force Lt. Colonel and owner of Silver Palm and Jolie Femme Clothing Manufacturers, passed away on Monday June 22, 2015. He was born on August 17, 1922 in Bronx, NY to Jacob and Selma Silberkleit (nee Schneckendorf) and was a Nevada resident since 1999. Bill was lead navigator for the 305th 442nd squadron on D-Day. He is survived by Rose (nee Hadfield), his beloved wife of 30-years; three children, Joy (Gaylord) Stavely of Flagstaff, AZ, Jay (Khia) Silberkleit of Moorpark, CA, and Tom (Lisa) Silberkleit of Sonoma, CA; one step-son, Eugene Lawney of Henderson, NV; four grandchildren, Gent, Annalisa, Sienna and Eugene (Melissa); and three great-grandsons. Burial services will be at 12:00pm on Monday June 29, 2015 at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City and a memorial service will follow at 2:00pm at King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane. Family requests that memorial donations be sent to Alzheimer’s Association or the Southern Nevada Chapter of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
