My mother, Mrs. Yuen Chin Chen Wu, was a young and attractive 19-year old girl, when she married my father. After which she tried her best to educate and raise her two sons and one daughter, Ruey Jenn, Ruey Lung, and Julia. Ruey Jenn grew up to be a Junior High School principal, while Ruey Lung became a Captain of a 400 policeman precinct, and Julia became a Real Estate Broker/Investor.
All three of her children in turn raised a boy and a girl of their own, giving her six grandchildren. When it comes to great-grandchildren, she has four boys, and three girls.
She spent her life supporting and connecting her family with love, and trustworthiness. Like many seniors, she spent her advanced years suffering from dementia, which overwhelmed her family at times, as they adapted to her care requirements. Thus, she lived with her daughter since 2000…before coming to the USA to live with her daughter.
Her first son had brought her on many travels. Together, they visited more than 20 European nations. She lived a joyful and fulfilling life.
She lived her life as a Buddhist, and spent her final moments praying to the Bodhisattva. She left this world without suffering and pain, in her sleep. Her children and grandchildren prayed filial piety to her the following days.
We all hope she follows in the footsteps of Amitabha to Western Paradise.
