

On October 4, 2010, Dennis Gary Gaulette passed away suddenly. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 2pm-4pm at Fleck Funeral Home, Inc., 7601 Sandy Spring Rd, Laurel, MD 20707.
Dennis Gary Edward Gaulette was born November 8, 1948 in Bayonne, New Jersey, He was the only child of Edward and Viola. He and his family moved to Maryland when Gary was very young.
He attended elementary school in Chillum, MD at St. John Baptist de la Salle. He attended high school in Washington, D.C. at St. John’s College High School. He also attended the University Of Maryland at College Park.
Gary was a member of the original horn section of The NoWhere Men band, one of the most popular bands in the Washington area for many years. His first tenure with the NWM began in 1966 and lasted until 1978. He was reunited with the band when it re-formed in 2009. Gary most recently performed with The NWM at their 40th Year Reunion on September 25th. In the intervening years Gary worked as a food broker, a real estate agent, and as a distributor for the Washington Post newspaper. But most recently, Gary’s occupation brought him back to something closer to his musical roots, working for Rosso Music in Glen Burnie, MD.
His passions in life included not just his music, but also a great love of dogs and cats (particularly strays), the Washington Redskins, and the legions of friends he made where ever he went.
His passing will leave a hole in the heart of the many who knew him and were so very fond of him.
