Annie Arlene Mathis

Annie Arlene ”Arlie” Mathis, 87 of Lawrenceburg, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017. She was a native of Wayne Co and worked at Genesco for 48 years and also worked at the Sacred Heart Cafeteria and Bernie’s Tea Room. She was a member of Liberty Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 7, 2017 from 5-8:00 p.m. at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday April 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro Gary Crosby officiating. Burial will be in Wayne County Memorial Gardens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lewis Mathis; daughters, Carolyn Faye Morris Turnbo; sister, Wanda Alice Davis; brother-in-law, Earl Bratcher; and sister-in-law, Willie Ann Mathis Davis.

Survivors include her brothers, Carl Lynn Davis, Jr. and Joe Raymond Davis (Jean) both of Waynesboro; sister, Mary Christine Bratcher of Waynesboro; son-in-law, Alton Brown Turnbo; grandchildren, Charlotte Ann Tinin (Stan) and Susan Lavon Mason; Great-grandchildren, Anna Tess Hurst (Zack), Jessa Ann Shedd, Alex Gregory Neal and Clinton Brant Neal; special niece and nephew, Larry and Jonnie Davis.
