Gary Leonard Tyler, age 71, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away Wednesday, October 28th, 2026 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Gary was born February 27th, 1955 to the late James Leonard Tyler and Dorothy Gladys Tyler in Parsons, TN. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and worked for many years as a long distance truck driver. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to church, playing piano and singing, and spending time with his loving family and friends. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Earl Tyler and Max Arnold Tyler.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Tyler; daughter, Melody Yeager (Ralph); grandchildren, Kalei and Brady; sister, Martha Lillian Kelley; brother, Larry Edward Tyler (Jane), and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Friday, October 30th, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Saturday, October 31st, 2026 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Brother Reggie Coleman will be officiating.
Interment will be held at O.K. Baptist Cemetery immediately following the service.
