Jason Scott Gist

Jason Scott Gist, age 49, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Jason was born on January 31st, 1976 in Lawrenceburg, TN, to the late Larry Dean Gist and Thelma Lorene Hancock. He worked many years of his life for GM in Spring Hill, TN. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching Tennessee Titans football, fishing, grilling and cooking, and spending time with his loving family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Clara Davis Gist; grandfather, J.L. Gist. sister, Cynthia Adkins, and niece, Telina Morris.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Denton; daughter, Josie Gist; son, Gavin Denton; brother, Dewayne Gist; nieces, Katelyn Romsdal, Jade Beckman, and Amelia Owens, and nephew, Hunter Adkins.

Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Thursday, May 29th, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Thursday, May 29th, 2025, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Brother Jacob Dale will be officiating.

Interment will be held following the service at Center Point Methodist Cemetery in Leoma, TN.
