Jimmy Ray Smith

Mr. Jimmy Ray Smith, age 62 of Lawrenceburg passed away on August 31, 2016 at Skyline Alive Hospice in Madison, TN. He was a native of Lawrenceburg, retired from Murray, Inc. after twenty- eight years and a Truck Driver for Sharp Transport. He was a member of the Lawrenceburg Elks Lodge.

He is survived by a daughter, Ashley Smith (Michael) of Glasgow, KY; one brother, Larry Smith (Pam) of Peroia, IL; step-son, Mitch Webb (Brittani) of Loretto, TN; step-daughter, Jessica Boswell (Shannon) of Lawrenceburg, TN; three sisters, Cynthia Martin (James) of Lawrenceburg, TN; Brenda Pickett (Randall of Minor Hill, TN; Judy Benefield of Fairview, TN; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie H. and Beulah Ann Boucher Smith; three brothers, Dewayne H. Smith, Charles Benefield “Nig” and Christopher Pickett.

Funeral Service will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Chapel, Friday, September 2, 2016 at 1 pm with Bro. Billy Beal and visitation at Pettus-Turnbo,

Thursday, September 1, 2016, 5 ~ 8 pm and interment in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

Flowers will be appreciated but donations to Employee Credit Union would be most helpful toward funeral expense.
