Mr. Joel Odell Smith, age 80 of Lawrenceburg passed away on December 16, 2015 at Southern Tennessee Regional Hospital. He was a native of Wayne County, retired from Murray, Inc. after thirty nine years, worked with Kroger for seven years. He was a member of the Napier Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Gordon Smith of Lawrenceburg, TN; one daughter, Flecia Brassfield; two grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Ella Clayton.
He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Keith Brassfield; parents, Shirlie A. and Hattie B. Dixon Smith; five brothers, William Smith, Walker Smith, Floyd Smith, Winfred Smith, Franklin Smith; two sisters, Pauline Ramsey and Ruth Hawkins.
Funeral Service will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Chapel, Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11 am with James Mitchell officiating and interment in Deerfield Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo, Friday, December 18, 2015, 5 ~ 8 pm.
