

Lewis Bond Jr., age 89, of Leoma, TN, passed away on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026 at The Cottages in Lawrenceburg. Lewis was born on February 14th, 1937, to the late Lewis Bond Sr. and Winifred Hall Wilder in Carriere, Mississippi. Lewis proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, serving from 1955 to 1959. Lewis worked for over 40 years at Air Products in Pace, FL, serving as a supervisor over the instruments and electrical department. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, coaching little league, and spending time with his loving family and friends. He was a member of Leoma Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy Anderson and Gary Bond; sisters, Betsy Heidel and Debbie Bond.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Betty Bond; sons, Roger Bond (LeAnn) and Joel Bond; grandchildren, Austin Bond, Hadyn Body (Shelby), Tug Body (Kenlyn), Myah Body, Miller Body, and Teondra Shelton (Taylor); great grandchildren, Josephine Bond, Eliana Shelton, and Asher Body; brother, Walton Bond (Nini), and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Monday, February 23rd, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026 beginning at 11:00 a.m. Brother Rodney Livingston and Jeff Leonard will be officiating.
Interment will be held at Loretto Memorial Gardens in Loretto, TN.
