Martha Ann Kidd

Martha Ann was born on October 28th 1922 in Green Hill, AL to Meade S. Harwell Sr. and Sallie Clevie Killen Harwell. She married William Felix Kidd on September 29th 1939. William preceded her in death on April 9th 1991.

After William’s death, Martha Ann moved to Austin, TX to be closer to her family. Martha Ann was an active member of Eastern Star and the Methodist church. She loved spending time with her family, laughing, and always wearing a smile on her face. Her poise and kindness was noticed by all, and to know her was to love her.

On June 28th 1998, Martha Ann married Hilton Simpson and they were married until his death on February 17th 2008.

Martha Ann is survived by her daughter, Beverly McGaffey of Austin, Texas, two granddaughters, Robin Walters of Seguin, Texas, and Kelly Ann Garner and husband, Scott Garner of Austin, Texas, one great-grandson, Jack Casey Garner of Austin, Texas, one great-granddaughter, Katy Walters of Seguin, Texas, and one great-great-granddaughter, Lily Ann Lunday of Seguin, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.

Private Graveside Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, October 16th 2016 at Mimosa Cemetery in Lawrenceburg.
