Mary Wayland

Mary Wayland, age 63, of Culleoka, TN, passed away Friday, February 13th, 2026 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Mary was born on October 11th, 1962 to the late Harley C Phillips and Vannie Mae Lewis in Dyersburg, TN. Mary was considered to be an entrepreneur, owning several business’s and fruitful hobbies. She owned Chopper’s Lounge in Ethridge, TN and ran a jewelry making business, she was also a loving mother and Nanny, and enjoyed taking care of her loving family. In her spare time, she enjoyed going on bike runs, singing karaoke, hosting parties, socializing, and spending time with her many friends and loving family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Wayland; brother, Rick Phillips, and her sister, Elaine Tosh.

She is survived by her children, Vannie Rice (Dave), Joseph Parsons (Tiffany Dyer), and Sara Parsons (Bryan Burlison); grandchildren, Brock, Katie, Raven, Desten, Matthew, Joanna, Thatcher, Liberty, J.J., Rayah, Zoey, Aria, Phoenix, Xavier, Lillie, Maggie, Garzie, and Traeh; brothers, Kenneth Phillips (Sue), Scottie Phillips (Angie), and Jackie Phillips, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Saturday, February 21st, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Brother Adam Miller will be officiating.

Interment will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Iron City, TN.
