I first met Mattie our freshman year at LCHS; she sat behind me in physical science class and we became friends. Post high school and years went by and we ran into one another in a Dollar Store and talked for some time; such a great memory! Mattie had a beautiful and kind soul and the world is better because she lived here for awhile. Rest in peace, sweet Mattie.

Such a sweet and kind person to everyone. That doesn’t begin to say how much goodness she had in her. A lifelong friend that I will forever cherish. All the memories I have will always be near and dear to my heart. Heaven has surely gained a beautiful angel.
