Raymond “Perk” Ray, age 89 passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at his residence. He retired from Union Carbide after 30 years of dedicated service. He was known for his servant’s heart. In his spare time, he loved to fish, work outdoors, and spend time with his loving family.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Herman and Ida Blair Ray; Son, Bobby Ray; Brothers, Herman Blair Ray, Barry Allen Ray; One Sister, Minnie Jo Ray.
He is survived by his Wife, Patricia Ann Burdine Ray; Son, Allen Ray (Wendy); Brothers, Jim Ray, Charlie Dean Ray; Grandchildren, Jake Ray, Sarah Warnick (Evan), Blake Ray, and Brandie Massey; Great Grandchildren, Kamden Ray, Kolby Ray, Nolan Warnick; several nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at Mimosa Cemetery on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.
Interment will be at Mimosa Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Vanderbilt Heart Center.
