Survivors include her Sons, Donny (Kay) Smith of Killen, Alabama, Tommy (Marlene) Smith of Athens, Alabama; Daughter, Tena Rebecca (Blaine) Roden of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; Brothers, Bobbie Cates, Jeff Cates, and Glenn Cates; Sisters, Linda Taylor, Alice Golden, Roxie Fralix, Gethel Russell and Shirley Graham; Grandson, Michael Smith (Charli) of Fayetteville; 3 Granddaughters, Rebecca “Becky” (Paul) Jones of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Stacey Smith of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Erika (Justin) Story of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; 4 Great-Grandsons, Dustin Smith, Casey Van Vliet, Connor Jones and Mason Jones; 2 Great-Granddaughters, Bristol Smith and Bay Story.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Dewey Leeman Smith; Parents, Lucious Ollie Cates and Rosie Elizabeth Fralix Cates Daughtry; Brother, L.O. Cates; Sister, Eunie Adams.

Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home Chapel, Lawrenceburg, TN on Tuesday, March 14th, 2017 from 4 pm -8 pm.

Funeral Service will be held at the Pettus-Turnbo chapel on Wednesday, March 15th 2017, at 2 pm with Brother Kyle Conner and Brother Don Goodrum Officiating. Interment will be at Union Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Paul Jones, Michael Smith, Justin Story, Dustin Smith, Casey Van Vliet, Connor Jones, and Mason Jones.
