Robert Doyle Perry

Robert Doyle Perry, age 82, of Summertown, TN, passed away on Monday, February 9th, 2026 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems in Lawrenceburg. Doyle was born on December 20th, 1943 to the late Clayburn Price Perry and Ruth Evan Ray Perry in the Knob Creek Community. Doyle was a pipeline welder and a 60 year member of the Pipeliner’s Union Local 798 out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Ethridge Masonic Lodge #777 and a 33rd Degree Mason and Shriner. Doyle had a deep passion for his career, and enjoyed all the many sights and friends that he made along the way. In his free time, he enjoyed working outdoors, traveling, and spending time with his loving family and friends, especially his granddaughters and Ms. Kitty. He was of Christian Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Nolan Perry; sister-in-law, Joan Perry; beloved canine companions, Max and Molly.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Linda Shaffer Perry; children, Jeff Perry (Terri) and Kelly Luna (Dallas); grandchildren, Kate Perry-Oflaz (Olkan), Lauren Chard (Jordan), and Hope Smith (Jessie), and beloved feline companion, Ms. Kitty.

Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Thursday, February 12th, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Friday, February 13th, 2026 beginning at 12:00 p.m. Brother Ricky Cotton will be officiating.

Interment will be held at the Ethridge Masonic Cemetery in Ethridge, TN.

In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children’s Research Hospital or The Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
