Mrs. Vernell Heard Dickey, age 75 of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away on September 10, 2016 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, TN. She was a native of Wayne County, TN, manager of the Country Store and a member of the First Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband Hulen Dickey; one son, Stephen Dickey; two daughters, Nancy Russ (Terry) and Sharman Evans (Ronnie Dial); ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephew; six brothers, Gene Brewer (Sue), Frank Heard (Pat), Rayburn Heard (Linda), Larry Heard (Sylvia), Jerry Heard, Jackie Heard (Pam); three sisters, Bea McNutt (David), Kim Leach (Jimmy), Pam Allen (Tony).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joel and Elvira Clay Heard; one brother, Ray Heard and one sister, Joyce Heard.
Funeral Service will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Chapel, Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 11 am with Ben May officiating and interment in Deerfield Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo, Monday, September 12, 2016, 5 ~ 8 pm.
