Virginia Jo Oxford Hughes age 74 of Lawrenceburg died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at NHC Healthcare in Lawrenceburg. She was a member of Gandy Church of Christ and retired from Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.
She is survived by two sons Michael Hughes of Columbia, TN and Joel Hughes of Huntsville, AL; three daughters Belinda Bonner of Jackson, TN, Delene Henderson Kingston, TN and Jackie Brown of Cleveland, TN; one brother Dan Oxford of Lawrenceburg; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Horace Hughes; her parents Grover Cleveland Oxford and Emma Kerr Oxford.
Visitation will be 5pm-7pm, Friday, April 18, 2014 at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 11am, Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Pettus-Turnbo Chapel with Larry Murdock officiating and interment in Lawrence County Memorial Gardens.
