I remember Andrew running around at Leander church, he and Kyle chasing each other and and always laughing and smiling! Andrew was a sweet, big hearted kid and I could see that so easily then even though I was only13 years old myself.

I remember having everyone over at my house. We were eating dinner and Andrew overheard how a guy was treating one of our friends. We let Andrew know how controlling the ex-boyfriend was. He was appalled and couldn’t believe that still happens to women today. I shared a story about a guy in high school who tried telling me not to wear a short skirt. I didn’t put up with that. Andrew again couldn’t believe a man in this day would do that. I told him another story about Zoe’s toxic relationship and how controlling her ex-boyfriend treated her. I could see in his eyes not only the shock, but anger that women deal with something he thought was done. I say all this to tell you. He cared about women and how they were treated even if he didn’t have a special someone in his life. I wish more men cared and had a heart to listen like Andrew did.

All of my memories with Andrew are good ones, and all of the conversations I remember were positive. He would often reach out to me on facebook messenger with well wishes and laughter. I'm deeply sorry for you loss.
