Born on May 5, 1954, in Barstow, California, to Jose and Maria Moreno, who preceded her in death, Angelina made Cedar Park, Texas, her home in 1998. She devoted her life to caring for others as an X-ray technologist and, above all, to her family.
Angelina was strong-willed, independent, and lovingly stubborn, with a creative spirit. She enjoyed crafting, gardening, and soap-making, but some of her family’s most cherished memories will always be of her making tamales at Christmas, with Christmas music blasting throughout the house. Those moments, her hands busy preparing food, music filling the rooms, and family all around, became traditions that will be treasured forever. Her traditions, laughter, and vibrant personality will be deeply missed.
Her family was her greatest joy. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren deeply and was especially excited to welcome her first great-granddaughter. Though she will not have the chance to hold her, her great-granddaughter will grow up knowing how eagerly Angelina awaited her arrival and how deeply she was already loved.
During her illness, Angelina was lovingly cared for by the staff at The Springs Healthcare in Cedar Park, TX, her husband Manuel, her daughter Felicia, and most importantly by her sister, Dora Casillas, whose devotion and compassion brought comfort to Angelina and her family. They are forever grateful for the love and support she gave during this difficult time.
Angelina’s Catholic faith was central to her life, and her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace in God’s loving embrace.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Manuel Figueroa; son, Manuel, and wife Letiesha; daughter, Felicia, and husband, Matthew Charles; and grandchildren, Karissa, Adam, Xavier, Alexis, Andrew, Josiah, Kamila, and Austin. She is also survived by her sisters, Dora Casillas and Grace Nabours; brothers, Victor Moreno and wife Marilyn, Vincent Moreno and wife Melody, and Arthur Moreno and wife Melissa; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Angelina leaves behind a lifetime of love, memories, traditions, and family. Her absence will be deeply felt, but the love she gave will remain with her family forever.
