Austin was born on September 3, 1995, to Mike and Suzanne Henry in Dallas, Texas. He was the youngest brother to his sister Tiffany Henry and his brothers Jon and Chris Henry. At the age of four, the Henry family moved to Austin where he spent the majority of his life. Growing up Austin found a passion for many things including music, skateboarding, and making friends with anyone he met. He created a life that revolved around the things he loved. To know Austin was to know a person who was adventurous, kind-hearted, and a person who lived life to the fullest. God took Austin home on January 29, 2022.
In Austin’s young years, he spent much of his time with his siblings and cousins skateboarding and practicing music. For those who were closest to him know that there were many talents he had. Some of which included: being able to play left-handed, upside down on a right-hand guitar, like his brother Jon. With all his practice on the skateboard, many people still talk about the tricks he mastered such as: the “el guardo flip” which was memorialized by his cousin, Cory Fontaine, as being the only person he had ever seen accomplish this trick on a skateboard. His brother, Chris Henry, also was able to see Austin accomplish the “switch hard flip” which he still talks about to this day. Austin truly followed his passions from youth to his adult years, as many have seen the numerous videos of him skateboarding or have heard the music he’s written throughout the last few years.
As we look over Austin’s life it is well-known that he never knew a stranger. This beautiful soul was one who knew how to make you smile by cracking a joke when you needed to hear one. He was always one to give the biggest hugs and smiles when he came around. There are so many people who have known and loved Austin for the man he was and will always be in our hearts. Whether you met him in his childhood years or adult years, he always made a lasting impression.
To those who knew Austin knew that what he loved above all else was his family. He leaves his memory to his parents, Mike and Suzanne Henry; his sister, Tiffany Henry and her children, Evan, Levi, and Hunter; his brother Jon Henry, his girlfriend Beth and their children, Jonathan and Serina; and his brother, Chris Henry. He is survived by his grandparents, Roger and Beverly McKemie; his uncle and aunt, Greg and Leanne Fontaine; his uncle, Beau Fontaine; his cousin, Gregory Fontaine; his cousin, Cory Fontaine, his wife Sasha and their children, Teagen and Savanna; and his cousin, Heather Stofko and her husband Britton. Jeremy Henry and Sunny Trammell, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins in the Henry family. And Austin's girlfriend Haley Rolfe.
A celebration of life will be held for Austin on Sunday, February 13th from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Weed-Corley-Fish Leander Funeral Home 1200 S. Bagdad, Leander, TX 78641. Following will be a graveside service at Bagdad Cemetery in Leander.
