Reading through all these memories from friends and colleagues makes it so clear how much we all loved and respected Barbara. She was so much more than a colleague; she was a true friend, a mentor, and a 'work mom' to many of us.

Her dedication at work was an inspiration, but it was her love for her family that truly defined her. It was evident in every story she shared that she loved her girls to infinity. I will always cherish the countless memories, the laughter, and the kindness she showed to everyone she met. I will especially miss hearing her sign off our calls with a cheerful "yay us!"

The world is a little less bright without her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all of us who were lucky enough to know her. My deepest sympathies go out to her family during this difficult time. She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

We love you Barb!  My neighbor of 18 years. Thank you for the Christmas cookies, your smile and over the fence conversations. Thank you for allowing us to know you all (and the dogs).  Thanks for all the times you said, “it’s ok”, when my kids would knock the ball over the fence.  You will always be one of the best neighbors one could ever have.

Barb, you are happy, bubbly, loving, sunshine, a rainbow, a friend, a confidant, and so much more. Words can't even begin to describe you. There is a permanent place in my heart for you, and I miss you dearly. You impacted my life more than you ever knew.

From your support with ADT, a company I no longer fear because of you, to our senior leadership that gave me such anxiety, you were there for me. We shared things that only true friends could. You taught me that by genuinely caring for people, you could be your authentic self.

Even though you loved your work, there was so much more to you than just your job. The bigness that is you can't be explained; it could only be cherished. You left every situation better because you were a part of it. We are all better because of you.

You are dearly loved and painfully missed. Thank you for being my friend.

To my "work sister".  You were there from day on of my Resideo journey!  Asking me who the heck I was and what the heck I was doing on your portfolio review the first week!  I've never had a work partner like you, always cheering each other on and having each other's back.  Working hard together, and building a friendship that will forever remain in my heart.  I cherish this photo of us together.  The day we FINALLY got to meet in person in Austin.  Our LONG dinner full of stories and laughter together with our husbands.  My heart breaks that you are no longer here with us.  I will continue to pray for your family as I know they are lost without you.  Rest in Peace, my dear friend. To Barbara's family, I send you my heartfelt condolences, I am truly sorry for your loss. I am deeply saddened to know Barb is gone. She was more than a colleague, she was a true friend who brought kindness, humor and generosity to every interaction. Her willingness to help others  and her thoughtful nature has left a lasting impact on all of us. I can't count the number of times she helped and supported me through challenging projects and never failed to encourage me or let me know that she valued me. Barbara, it's been years since we spoke or years of not seeing you, but my memories of you go back and not forgotten.  You were always so helpful and kind to me.   I always reflect on the old Ademco/Honeywell days and how many laughs we had together.  May you rest in peace with the angels.

You will be missed by more then you know. As the news of your passing is spreading the conversations turn from sadness to the wonderful stories from your past and how you had the soul of a saint, a heart of gold and the gift to lift spirits with your one liners. 

I still remember the days of carpooling where Sophia would kick me from the back seat the entire ride home and you would laugh and say do you want me to let you out of the car here. You loved, as you referred to them, "my girls" more then anything in the world. 

You helped guide me in my work career, but also in my life as i would not have been married to the person I am today without your intervention. We started out as colleagues, but then turned into great friends, but then ultimately family. 

God only takes the good ones, he needs, too early and I know you are now managing that bed and breakfast you always wanted to in Heaven. Until me meet again, Rest in Piece.

I’m so so sorry for your loss. I am in a state of shock. I had the privilege of working side by side with Barbara for more than a decade. In that time she became so much more than just a co-worker to me. She was a true friend.
She was caring, kind, and always the one you could count on to figure things out. No matter what came up, she handled it with thoughtfulness and resourcefulness. But what I’ll remember most is the way she treated  everyone; with warmth, generosity, and genuine kindness. She was always always in great spirits. She is irreplaceable. 
I feel lucky to have known her and will miss her dearly. Please know that she touched so many lives at work, including mine, and we’re all holding you, her beloved family, in our thoughts.

I am deeply saddened to hear the news of Barbara’s passing. Having worked with “Mrs. G” for so many years she should always find a way to make me laugh and smile during our stressful work days. Having the same last name she would at times refer to me as Mr Garcia and would ask ….. How is my work husband doing today? I would respond …….. he’s goooooooood! And we would break down laughing. When Kevin gave me the news today i was deeply saddened and lost for words. Mrs G is such a sweetheart and will be missed enormously by everyone who knew her. She will always be with us in spirit. My prayers to the family and everyone during this tough time.

I am heartbroken to hear this news. I worked with Barbara (Barb) for 25 years.  My best memories are of her frustration dealing with all us “idiots”.  She was so caring about her work product, making sure and wanting it to be correct, being upset when we would find errors, her motherly approach to taking care of everyone and just her desire to do good. She was so proud of her daughters and always shared stories of them as they grew up, went off to school, and their jobs. I remember her sharing pictures back in late 2023 when the bridal party descended and she had such a wonderful time. She also talked fondly of her father and the challenges she faced with him as he aged. The last time I connected with her was this past Fathers Day, when she reached out to wish me a happy day. I will miss exchanging texts about Formula-1 and Max Verstappen. I will miss her cookies and other baked goods. I will miss sending her chocolate peppermint bark at the holidays. I will miss her calling me “boss man” and my reply of “boss lady”. And I am so sad that her dream of starting a Bed & Breakfast will never be realized.

So many of us will miss you. All those years working together felt like family for sure. All the stories you told us about Emily and Sophia, we all felt like Aunts and Uncles to them.  They were your world and you were always so proud of "your girls". Thank you for teaching all of us as we moved through the ranks of Ademco, Honeywell and Resideo. You always had our backs and never stopped helping. 
To Barb's family, I hope knowing how much your Mom was loved by all of her colleagues give you a little comfort during such a difficult time. Such a special lady and she really was family to us as well.
