From the age of two, Carol loved going to church and was deeply moved by the name of Jesus. As a child, she accepted Christ as her Savior and joyfully sang songs of praise, tambourine in hand. Her faith remained the foundation of her life, guiding her steps and reflecting God’s grace and mercy.
She grew up alongside her beautiful siblings, Alice Anderson and Sandra Anderson, who preceded her in death, and her eldest sister, Julia Hutcheson, who survives her. Family was always the center of Carol’s life; she cherished every moment spent with loved ones and especially treasured her many nieces and nephews, who held a special place in her heart.
Carol was a devoted wife to her husband, Clifton Thomas, and the proud mother of her beloved daughter, Charmony Thomas. She found immeasurable joy in her role as “Mimi” to her three grandchildren, Nevaeh, Alanah, and Micah Lowe, who brought light to her days and who will carry her love in their hearts always.
Carol built a career with Dell Corporation, where she excelled as a sales representative. But beyond her work, she was known for her love of singing, dancing, and her boundless conversations with anyone she met. Carol was a natural storyteller who always had a memory, a lesson, or a dream to share; she even dreamed of writing her own book one day.
Above all, Carol’s life was guided by her faith. She loved Jesus with all her heart, journaled faithfully, and poured herself into spreading the gospel. Her legacy is one of strength, kindness, joy, and unwavering devotion to God.
Carol will be remembered for the way she made everyone feel seen and loved, for the laughter she brought to family gatherings, and for the faith that sustained her through every season of life. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on in all who knew her.
A celebration of her life will be held in Austin, Texas, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory, rejoice in her eternal homecoming, and share stories of the extraordinary woman she was.
