Cecil was a beloved son, grandson, nephew, brother, husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters and family and doing anything outdoors. Anyone who knew Cecil knew that he was never scared of anything. He was fearless, strong, and always willing to take on whatever came his way.
Cecil is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ronnie W. James and Barbara G Hammeck; his maternal grandmother Wanda Jean Teague; and his mother, Kathy Jean Capps.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer James; his daughters, Destiny James and Dawsann James; stepsons Aidan Newman and Joshua Hardy; his father Ricky W. James; his brother Mark, and wife Beverly Klaerner; his grandfather Stonewall J. Teague; his uncles, Keith Teague and Jesse James; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and loved ones.
Cecil’s love for his family and the memories he created with them will remain in their hearts forever. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Services will be held Friday October 2,2026. A viewing will be held at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral home in Leander, Texas at 1:00pm, with graveside services to follow at 3:30pm at Bagdad Cemetery in Leander, Texas.
Rest peacefully, Cecil. You will be forever loved and deeply missed.
