

Charlie Dale Adkisson was born June 21st ,1976, In Wichita, Kansas and passed away September 15, 2024, in Leander, Texas. He was a devoted Husband to Samantha Adkisson, whom he married on October 6, 2001, and a dedicated loving father to his five children, Tera Adkisson, Wesley Lewis (Stephanie Bonev), Aaron Adkisson, Isabella Adkisson and Natalie Adkisson. He was the most fun-loving Papa to his four grandchildren Ezekiel Martinez, Novalee Martinez, Westley Tooke, and Gracyn Tooke.
Charlie served proudly in the United States Navy after graduating from Del Valle high school and enjoyed a successful career as a Project Manager for Brookfield Residential.
He was a passionate coach for his children’s sports teams, dedicating, countless hours to their development and success, and was actively involved volunteering at the school. He will be honored by Rouse High-school with a memorial plaque in the boys’ basketball locker room for the time and energy he put into building all their lockers while his son attended there, and they still enjoy to this day.
Charlie was an avid sportsman with passion for boating, hunting, fishing however, his most favorite hobby was spent hanging with his friends on Cannery Cove. He was a fervent supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and Texas Longhorns, and could be often heard cheering on his teams with infectious enthusiasm. Charlie was a cowboy at heart and had a strong sense of community; volunteering at the rodeo which he looked forward to every spring.
Charlie was known for his loving generous nature and his ability to make those around him, feel valued and important. He had a knack for dancing, singing and being silly. His gentle, patient demeanor endeared him to all who knew him. He lived by the motto, “there is always a way, a solution to every problem”, this reflected his optimistic approach to life’s challenges.
Charlie is survived by his parents, Ernie and Betty Adkisson; His siblings, Theresa Clark (Scott Clark), Beverly Adkisson (Kenneth Rodriquez), and his brother Bruce Adkisson (Holly Adkisson) along with several nieces and nephews and countless others who considered him family that will carry forward his legacy of love, generosity, and kindness. Charlie’s impact on the lives of others was profound; He exemplified what it meant to be a devoted, family man, a community leader and an authentic friend. His belief in Jesus Christ guided him throughout his life and his strong values shaped the way Charlie treated his family, friends and work colleagues.
Charlie Dale will be forever loved and deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy will live on through his family, friends, neighbours, and the countless lives he touched.
Charlie will be laid to rest on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 11:00 at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542, following a Military Honors Ceremony.
