David van Williams

David van Williams, age 72, of Liberty Hill, Texas passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024. David began his earthly journey on March 12, 1952 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee to Claude Prince & Winona Lois Williams. His eternal birthday began December 28, 2024 at his home in Liberty Hill, Texas surrounded by family. David is preceded in death by his parents Claude & Winona (Nonie) Williams; and his wife, the love of his life, Charlotte Maxine (Cravey) Williams.

David is survived by his Son Eric Van Williams (daughter in-law Kirstin); Daughter Vanessa Lea Yates (son in-law Cody); son Trace Williams; Stepdaughter Denise Smirl; Stepson Cody Smirl (daughter in-law Julie); Grandson Chase Halen Yates; Granddaughter Hannah Stiles (grandson in-law Sam); Granddaughter Emily Smirl; grandchildren, Melissa Hunt, Travis Huffman, and Jeromy Massey; Brothers Robin Williams (sister in-law Cindy); Roy Williams (sister in-law Gwen); Sister Joy Frietch (brother in-law Jeff); and several extended family members.

David loved traveling to the Rocky Mountains with his beloved wife, Charlotte, and taking vacations to the coasts of Florida and Texas. He also enjoyed going to Tennessee to visit his family.

David served honorably in the Air Force. He was stationed in Turkey. He did extensive world travel for his military job to multiple countries that eventually sent him back to Turkey which he enjoyed very much.

David liked hunting, the outdoors, playing football in high school, playing and watching golf, and watching football and baseball.

We will all miss David very much.

A memorial service for David will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1200 S. Bagdad, Leander, TX 78641.
