Doyle Douglas Crim, a devoted family man and skilled craftsman, passed away on September 20, 2025, at his home in Cedar Park, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on August 18, 1944, in San Saba, Texas, to Leonard Crim and Mary Wilson Hyatt, Doug grew up to become a pillar of his community.
Doug's professional journey included owning his own barber shop in Austin and working for the Texas Water Development Board and Welenco, where he operated a logging unit on water wells across the state. However, his greatest joys lay in spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and tackling DIY projects with enthusiasm.
Doug is survived by his cherished family members, including his ex-wife and best friend Bernice Crim; his son Stephen Crim and wife Deannie; his daughter Sherry May and husband George; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers; a sister; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jim Crim, sister Evie Elaine Crim, sister-in-law Connie Crim, and his second wife Sherry Miller Crim.
Doug's legacy will live on through the countless memories he created with his family and friends. His love for life, his community, and his family will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
