Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather, Edward Ray Butcher, age 85, passed over into his place in glory into the arms of our Precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on 30 March 2020 at his Leander, Texas home.

Edward, was born to Opal and Freeman Butcher on 18 April, 1934. He lived on their family farm through his graduation from Sutton High School, West Virginia, June of 1952. He then joined the US Army and was honorably discharged on November 1955. He then returned to his family farm until he joined the Air Force for 3 years duty, leaving the Air Force on December 1958.

He had a great love for humanity, thoroughly enjoyed golf, bowling, and gardening. He cherished his beloved wife of 60 years, and all of his children and grandchildren, and never turned down a delicious meal that was topped off with a scrumptious dessert.

Edward was preceded in death by his eldest son, Dennis; parents, Opal and Freeman; three sisters, Doris, Paula and Donna. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jo Ann; daughter, Susan; son, Jeffery; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; as well as 5 siblings.
