Emily Selene Smit

Emily Selene Smit was born November 15, 2023 in Cedar Park, Texas, to James and Shelby Smit. She passed from this life March 19, 2024 in Cedar Park, Texas at the age of 4 months. Emily is survived by her parents, James and Shelby Smit; sister, Olivia Smit; maternal grandparents, Joe and Jenny Silva and Kim and Jay Depew; paternal grandparents, Jillian and Andre Smit; maternal great-grandmother, Mary Silva; Aunts, Sabrina Silva, Jessica Depew and Jade Depew; Uncles, Harry Smit, Leo Smit and a host of other relatives and friends.

Although Emily was only here for a short time, she was a beautiful light in so many people’s lives. The loss of a child is never something anyone should have to go through, but her family takes solace in the treasured memories they had with her, and in knowing she will always be in their hearts. She showed her family what it means to love unconditionally. Emily was a cherished angel in life and is now a precious angel in heaven. May she find eternal peace and comfort as she moves on from this life.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Weed-Corley Fish Funeral Home, 1200 S Bagdad Road, Leander, Texas 78641.
