Ethel Marie Watts ( Hart) 86 passed away suddenly but peacefully with her caregiver and daughter Nina holding her hand on August 11th, 2026 in her daughters home. A cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister Ethel will be missed terribly but forever be in her loved ones hearts.
Ethel worked over 30 years for Leander ISD. When she wasn’t working Ethel loved being outdoors in nature. She enjoyed camping and fishing. Her gardens and yard were her favorite place to be. She was happiest with her hands in soil planting or tending to her flowers, vegetables or lush lawn.
Ethel was a incredibly strong woman but still had a very caring heart. She loved God and her family above all else. Both took precedent over anything else.
Ethel was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Ethel Hart. Her loving and devoted husband Velton V, her daughter Virginia Dailey, her son Terry Watts, her grandson Daniel Dailey and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children Ernie Watts and wife Jana of Kyle Texas, daughter Nina Watts Warwick and husband David of Leander. Her beloved little sister Doris Whiteley of Belton Texas. Ten grandchildren and Seventeen great grandchildren. All of which will deeply miss her.
