Glenda Marie Butler

Glenda Marie Butler, 69, of Leander, Texas, passed away on September 26, 2019. She was born to parents James Edward Butler Sr and Virginia Marie Butler, on September 26, 1949 in Richmond, Virginia. She graduated from Armstrong, in Richmond, Virginia. She went on to study Psychology at Virginia Union University graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She later went to Virginia State University where she graduated with Master’s Degree in Psychology. All while being pregnant and raising two boys, alone. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, fashion, cosmetology, and family. Glenda is survived by her sons, Lee and Marcus; grandchildren, Shanellee, Jasmine Nia, and Mariah; 2 sisters, Etta and Patricia and 3 brothers, James, William and Harvey; along with nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Joyce Bailey, Sister, Albert, Brother, Charles Henry, Brother and Dr. P. T. Butler Sr., Brother. The family has entrusted Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home with the arrangements at 1200 S. Bagdad Leander, Texas 78641. A viewing/memorial is scheduled for Saturday, October 12th 2019 at 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. funeral service. A reception will follow at the funeral home.

Rev. Lee Armstrong, Jr. of St. James Missionary Baptist Church will officiate the ceremony.
