Hilda Barrios, a devoted wife, mother, and pillar of her community, passed away on July 27, 2025 In Leander, Tx, at the age of 98. Born on December 7, 1926, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Hilda spent her life building a legacy of love, dedication, and service.
Hilda was married to Gustavo Doble Sr for 67 years, until his passing. Together, they raised their family, instilling values of hard work and compassion. She dedicated 40 years of her career to serving her community as an Executive Secretary at Banco Crédito and Banco Popular in Santurce, Puerto Rico.
Hilda is survived by her son, Gustavo Doble Jr.; daughter-in-law, Zaida; 4 grandchildren and spouses, Daniel/Cynthia, Alejandro/Wilda, Michelle/Joey, Natalie/Edgardo; 8 great-grandchildren, Naiomi, Heili, Kaili, Veronica, Carlos, Andrea, Caleb, Monica; and her beloved niece, Evelyn. Though she faced the loss of her parents, Jose and Otilia Barrios and nephew, Jose, her strength and resilience inspired those around her.
Her memory will live on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to her family and community.
