James Reid Allen

James was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Valton and Marie Allen, his maternal grandparents, E. Grant and Elnora N. Moody, and his uncle Ralph Allen. He is survived by his beloved wife Kristina, his loving parents Robert and Melinda Allen, his devoted sister Elisabeth Allen, his uncle William Allen, and his aunt Sue Sadler and dozens of Moody kin from Arizona and Utah.

James was born in Tempe Arizona with a pioneer lineage from his Mother that extends to the founding of both Arizona and Texas. He was a descendent of John Wyatt Moody who was the first Auditor General for Sam Houston’s provisional government prior to the founding of the Republic.

His paternal lineage in Texas dates to 1785 when a group of indentured Primitive Baptist slaves escaped from Georgia and settled in the rugged swamps of East Texas bringing the Gospel to that lawless and wild region; establishing both Church and Law Enforcement.

He was a sixth generation Arizonan and a seventh generation Texan.

The best thing that ever happened in his life was falling in love with Kristina. They were married in a beautiful ceremony the sixth of November, 2013 at Chapel Dulcinea and were blessed with a most loving and devoted matrimony.

James had a pure heart and was loyal to friends and family. He lived for the moments he was able to spend with his beautiful wife, Kristina, his music, and his rescue pets. He had a natural gift for expressing himself through his music. He was blessed with the selfless support of his wife in this art and recorded several albums where he performed all the instruments. He collaborated on a few tracks with his wonderful friends and always gave attribution.
